Human Resources Generalist Full Time Home Office, Houston, TX, US Bilingual Skillset Required/Hospitality or Restaurant Experience Preferred JOB OBJECTIVE: The Goode Company People and Culture Generalist plays a pivotal role in supporting our team members through the employee life cycle. This position will work cross functionally with various internal and external partners and will report directly to our People and Culture Manager. This position is responsible for a wide range of functions, including employee relations, compliance, payroll, benefits administration, and overall HR administration. The People and Culture Generalist partners closely with business operations leaders and employees to support development and ensuring organization's culture, policies and procedures are consistently applied. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Upholds and actively promotes our company culture and Brand Values. Administers various plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains team member handbook and policies and procedures manual and ensures documents are up to date with employment laws and regulations. Assumes responsibility for maintaining knowledge of current processes and procedures for the accurate and timely completion of all payroll functions weekly for all company locations; administers compensation and performance evaluation program. Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and communicating benefit information to employees. Assists with new-employee orientations; responsible for I-9 verification and record retention per current law. Assists in the recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students, and temporary employees; writes and places advertisements. Assumes responsibility for effectively recording, maintaining, and reporting human resource information. Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database. Ensures that system records are accurately recorded and cross-checked. Assists Risk Manager with company property and casualty insurance program and reporting of customer claims. Address employee concerns, conflicts, and inquiries while promoting a positive work environment. Act as a liaison between employees and management to resolve issues and foster effective communication. Generate HR reports and metrics for management, providing insights and recommendations. Implement employee recognition programs. Collaborate with the training team on the health and safety team to ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe work environment. Act as the primary point of contact for employees reporting workplace injuries or accidents, and ensure that preventive measures are put in place to prevent future accidents. Work with injured employees and their supervisors to manage and coordinate return-to-work programs and accommodations. Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed. Performs other related duties as required and assigned. QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Proven experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role. Bachelor's degree preferred (Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field) Fluently bilingual is preferred (Spanish) Knowledge of COBRA, FMLA and other related state and federal regulations required Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations. Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office applications. Intermediate Excel Skills with experience with VLOOKUP’s and Pivot Tables Strong problem-solving and decision‑making abilities. Team player with the ability to work independently.
