Authorized IdentoGO Fingerprinting Attendant

An authorized IdentoGO fingerprinting attendant, also known as an Enrollment Agent, is a customer-facing role responsible for capturing and processing electronic fingerprints. The work is performed at IdentoGO centers, operated by IDEMIA which provide secure identity solutions for government agencies and private organizations. To become an IdentoGO Enrollment Agent, a combination of soft skills, technical abilities, and professional qualifications are needed. As the role involves handling sensitive data and interacting with a wide range of people, attention to detail, a customer-service mindset, and high integrity are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Background screening: Must be able to successfully pass a criminal history background check, drug screen, and other necessary screenings.
  • Physical dexterity: Manual dexterity and strong eye-hand coordination are needed to operate the live-scan equipment and manipulate small objects.
  • Training and certification: Must complete specific training on IdentoGO's fingerprinting procedures, equipment, and strict compliance protocols.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identity verification: Confirm applicants' identification documents to ensure meet federal and state requirements are met.
  • Fingerprint collection: Use specialized biometric "Live Scan" equipment to capture high-quality, electronic fingerprint images.
  • Secure data handling: Ensure the secure and confidential transmission of fingerprints and other sensitive data to the appropriate agency for background checks.
  • Administrative tasks: Handle data entry, maintain accurate records, and ensure any necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
  • Problem resolution: Address minor equipment issues, troubleshoot problems with the fingerprinting process, and resolve any customer service concerns.
  • Attention to detail: This is the most crucial skill for ensuring that high-quality fingerprints are captured and all data is accurately recorded. Errors can cause delays for applicants and compromise security.
  • Computer literacy: Must be proficient in basic computer functions, data entry, and operating specialized biometric equipment and appointment scheduling systems.
