Job Description

IEP Therapy is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department within the Education & Training industry, supporting school districts and students with specialized communication needs. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide high-quality, student-centered speech and language services in school-based settings. You will help students meet their educational goals by implementing individualized treatment plans that target speech sound production, language comprehension and expression, fluency, and social communication skills. As a Speech Language Pathology Assistant with IEP Therapy, you will deliver direct therapy to students individually and in small groups, following evidence-based practices and the guidance of the supervising SLP. You will assist with informal assessments, collect accurate data on student performance, and document each session thoroughly to track progress toward IEP goals and comply with school and legal requirements. You will prepare engaging therapy materials and activities tailored to each student’s age, abilities, and learning style, helping to support communication skills across academic and social environments. Collaboration is central to this position. You will work closely with teachers, special education staff, related service providers, and families to promote carryover of communication strategies into the classroom and home. You may contribute input to IEP meetings, sharing observations and data under the direction of the supervising SLP. Throughout your work, you will uphold strict standards of confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical practice while adhering to school district policies and applicable regulations. IEP Therapy fosters a supportive and collaborative culture that values personalized care for students and the professional growth of our team members. You will have opportunities for ongoing supervision, mentorship, and access to resources for continuing education to build your skills as an SLPA. Working at IEP Therapy offers the chance to directly impact the educational experience of students, empowering them to communicate more effectively and participate more fully in school life. This full-time position typically follows the school calendar and may offer a hybrid work environment depending on district needs, with services primarily delivered on-site in school settings and occasional virtual sessions or documentation time completed remotely. Our comprehensive benefits package and potential performance-based bonuses reflect our commitment to supporting you as you help students achieve their communication and educational goals.
