Purpose: Davis Memorial is looking for a mature, part-time worker to provide dependable, safe, secure and nurturing care for children while at church. This worker is responsible for caring for children aged 0-5 years on Sunday morning 10:00-11:30a.m. and Tuesday evening from 6:30-8:30p.m. Responsibilities Responsible for providing age-appropriate care which includes feeding, changing diapers, escorting to the bathroom, maintaining a safe environment, holding or sitting with and cheerfully interacting with children through games, stories, play and prayer. Be polite, friendly, and courteous to all children, parents and volunteers. Provide childcare during hours stated above with additional opportunities to work during Holy Week, Easter, Christmas, Ash Wednesday, etc. When child is dropped off, responsible adults leave their name and phone number on the child’s registration form. Stay until the children are secured with a responsible adult. Straighten the room, clean and sanitize any toys, tables, etc. Before leaving. Promptly report incidents involving children and/or other adults. Maintain inventory of supplies and request more supplies, as needed. Communicate in advance to the Pastor for planned absences with a two week notice and unplanned absences at least two hours prior to the work time. Qualifications At least 18 years of age.
