Job Description
Salary:
WOCAP, a local non-profit organization, is seeking qualified candidates for a Co-Teacher/FSW Float based at our Market Street location. This position is 40 hours per week, 9 months a year.
Responsibilities include:
1. Assist the Teacher in developing and educating each Child Development Services child to theirfullest potential by utilizing the latest curriculum.
2. Assist the Teacher with weekly lesson plans and daily planning.
3. Assist the children & families by ensuring coordination, facilitation, identification, enrollment, andprovision of individual services in accordance with Child Development Services PerformanceStandards, licensing regulations, and WOCAP policies & procedures.
4. Ensure that all children receive required health related services by connecting them to resources, providing follow-up support services and identifying and removing barriers to needed services. Thisincludes expectations to transport families to appointments, report difficulties to supervisors inwriting, and ensuring follow-up within 30 days.
5. Float positions require moving between classrooms as needed per day, including traveling toanother site to perform the same responsibilities as needed.
Requirements include:
MUST be able to pass drug screen and background check.
Candidate must possess High School Diploma or GED. Current possession of CDA a plus. Must be willing to enroll in CDA program to obtain CDA certification within two years. Certifications in Child Abuse & Neglect, Communicable Disease, CPR, and First Aid must be maintained.
Valid Ohio driver's license, current vehicle insurance, and privately-owned vehicleduring working hours preferred. Ability to check electronic mail, entering data intoprogram-specific software for required reports, and Internet skills required.
