Role Summary

Our client, a growth-oriented public accounting and advisory firm, is seeking a Tax Manager to support privately held businesses with tax compliance, planning, and advisory services. This role focuses on delivering high-quality tax solutions for S corporations, partnerships, and closely held entities while building strong client relationships and contributing to team development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage tax compliance, planning, and review work for privately held businesses and related entities
  • Prepare and review tax returns for S corporations, partnerships, and other closely held business structures
  • Provide proactive tax planning and advisory guidance, including entity structuring and tax optimization strategies
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for business owners and leadership teams on tax and financial matters
  • Build and maintain strong, consultative client relationships with a focus on responsiveness and trust
  • Review staff-prepared work and ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with tax regulations
  • Mentor and support junior staff, contributing to team development and training
  • Stay current on federal, state, and local tax law changes and apply updates to client situations
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve service quality and operational efficiency
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, client service excellence, and firm growth
Required Qualifications
  • Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required
  • Minimum of one (1) year of public accounting experience
  • Strong experience working with privately held businesses
  • Hands-on experience with S corporations and partnership taxation
  • Solid foundation in tax compliance and tax planning
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax matters clearly
  • Ability to manage client relationships in a professional and consultative manner
  • U.S. citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior client-facing advisory or consultative tax experience
  • Experience in review-level responsibilities or engagement oversight
  • Prior experience mentoring or supervising junior staff
  • Strong interest in long-term client relationship building and advisory work
Compensation & Work Model
  • Salary range: $100,000 – $155,000 annually
  • On-site role with potential hybrid flexibility for local candidates
