Job Description

Purchasing Assistant

Perform moderately complex data entry work to enter vendor data and maintain files and documentation.

Essential Job Functions
  • Maintain vendor files.
  • Verify documentation.
  • Monitor SOX Procedure compliance and system updates.
  • Obtain W-9's, manage document retention.
  • Assist with issuing 1099's.
  • Complete Credit Applications.
  • Assist with setting up EFT / ACH accounts.
  • Occasional responsibility for other purchasing functions.
  • Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM's EarthView program.
  • Practice safe work habits.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
Position Requirements
  • Graduation from a high school or equivalent.
  • Six months of experience performing data entry with accuracy.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and/or spreadsheet applications.
  • Skill in typing required.
  • Ability to perform works which involves entering or verifying a variety of documents.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and perform with a high level of accuracy.
Work Environment and Context
  • Required to sit for extended periods, lift up to 10 pounds, bend, reach, use hands and fingers to operate keyboard.
