Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 22 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.
• Travel experience is preferred.
• Experience with Epic is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - Providence Health & Services and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Providence Health & Services.

Additional Details:
All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience: - Must be able to function in the charge nurse role independently. - Charge experience. - Patient Ratio Experience: 1:6
Preferred Skills/Experience: - Community Hospital experience. - 5 years of experience.
Required Credentials: - Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past.
Special Requests: - RTO must be listed at time of submission.
Unit Details: - Combined telemetry and pediatrics unit. - Cares for patients ranging from 1 month of age through end of life. - Common lines, tubes, and equipment include NG tubes, chest tubes, central lines, and Foley catheters. - Patient population includes diabetes, sepsis, CHF, COPD, asthma, cellulitis, pneumonia, arrhythmias, HTN, gastroparesis, neuro, appendectomies, cholecystectomy, ventral hernia repairs, and bowel obstructions. - Parking Notes: Free in any unrestricted space
Shift & Scheduling: - No call. - 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
