Osmose Utilities is currently seeking a GIS Technician this position is Hybrid with remote with in office work schedule. Responsible for the processing of customer source data and field collected data using standard and GIS tools.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Import process, and validate customer provided data for import into our system.
Utilize tools provided to build import/export configurations.
Generate reports as requested by internal/external customers.
Track and report on the processing status for each customer
Adhere to quality assurance status for each customer
Communicate with customers as needed to resolve data issues.
Communicate with team to determine data and delivery requirements.
Follow standards procedures and process including the use of required checklists.
Contribute to other projects, plans and teams not specifically noted to achieve organization goals.
Analyze, validate and process data from the field organization in ArcGIS using standard and custom tools
Generate data reports as needed to support the various projects.
Communicate with customer as needed to resolve data issues.
Contribute to other projects, plans and teams not specifically noted to achieve the goals of the Company.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree in preferably in Geography or GIS or related technical discipline or previous related experience and/or training.
Fundamental knowledge of ArcGIS and other GIS software primarily the ESRI ecosystem.
Strong understanding of database concepts.
Highly proficient in MS Access, Excel and Word.
Highly organized and detail oriented.
Ability to learn processes, procedures and software independently and quickly.
Ability to multitask effectively.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Willingness to work varied hours when needed.
