Position Overview AWN is expanding its Environmental Team and is currently seeking an Environmental Consultant. The successful candidate will join our dynamic team based in Dublin, collaborating on challenging and exciting projects within the private and public sector. The team based in Dublin, includes a diverse group including environmental consultants, geologists, hydrogeologists, chemists, acoustic engineers and environmental scientists. The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to scope and deliver projects in line with client requirements. Candidates should have good people skills, be driven, and also work well in a team environment. A balance of technical, communication/written and field skills is sought to flexibly contribute to a variety of different projects. We can offer hybrid working flexibility. Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience Minimum BSc or BA (Hons) degree in environmental science or related discipline. 1–2 years’ experience working in the environmental sector. Proficient with MS Office. Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable liaising with clients and colleagues. Excellent report‑writing skills with attention to detail. Core Traits Enthusiastic self‑starter able to thrive in a fast‑paced consultancy environment and manage multiple tasks. Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high‑quality written work. Confident communicator; comfortable in client meetings and collaborative teamwork. Preferred Experience/Skills Experience preparing EIARs / EIA screening reports. Experience with EPA licence applications or compliance work Membership or chartership of a recognised environmental professional body (e.g., IEMA, IGI, IAH, CIWEM). Contributory pension.
