Job Summary

· Assists patients in understanding their insurance benefits and optimal utilization of such benefits

· Assists with front office and back office responsibilities as needed, including:

• • greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling and confirming appointments
  • corresponding with dental insurance companies on status of claims

General Accountabilities

· Reviews accuracy of patient dental insurance plan details and uses such information to provide patients with accurate estimates for treatment plans

· Submits treatment pre-authorizations and claims to insurance companies as needed and follows up with patients to explain benefits

· Helps patient accept proposed treatment by offering CareCredit/Sunbit/Cherry financing if necessary

· Assists patients with understanding their yearly maximums and how to best utilize these benefits

· Ensures required forms are updated annually as needed

· Corresponds with other offices regarding referrals and sharing of xrays

· Forwards any patient concerns to employer as necessary

· Assists with answering phone calls, scheduling, etc. as needed

Job Qualifications

· Education: High school diploma or equivalent

· Experience: 2-3 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
